Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the group of players after the controversy from his public comments.

He was omitted from a European match following criticising the club and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.
Moving Forward
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.
The midfielder also noted that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Their results have remained strong in the games following the situation. Jones believes the forward's comments were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, performing and securing victories.”
